They’ll cherry-pick what they think will sell and leave the rest.

A myriad of articles get published and only a few people read them. I can see how a researcher trying to make a name and eventual fame and fortune, book tours and a slot on daytime TV might play the odds.

So may disciplines have been splintered it’s difficult for ANYONE to get an overall picture of an issue and ask simple common sense questions.
