I do not like Pamela Geller and feel she often goes too far. However, this time she is correct and you have gone too far. There is nothing “Islamophobic” about saying that Jihad is savage any more than it is “Christophobic” to say the Crusades - or the Inquisition - were savage. It is not “Islamophobic” to say that respected Muslim leaders call for Jihad against Israel and use Islam to whip up hatred against Israel. These are facts. It is not “Islamophobic” to say that we see very little opposition to these calls for Jihad from respected Muslim leaders, or to say that Muslims who call for coexistence with Israel are usually condemned vociferously by their fellow Muslims. These are also, unfortunately, facts. Pamela Geller’s ad says “fight Jihad”, not “fight Islam”. Do you really believe that the vicious savagery of Jihad is so typical of Islam that use of the word is hate speech against Muslims in general? If so, then you are the “dumbass” for not seeing that Islam is something to be feared and fought. Wishing you a Shana Tovah and well over the Fast.
