Sorry, but he gets no credit AFAIC. If I believed he “did the right thing because it was the right thing instead of because he’s a rank opportunist, then I’d feel differently. I seriously doubt that’s the case—if the winds were still blowing in the opposite direction (or if they began to blow that way again tomorrow), I’m sure he’d be carrying on about “traditional marriage” again.
