I aborted a post on the GM food guy that suddenly got the scientific method after 15 years of being anti-science.

This is a case where it’s not just the Right Wing nuts that are anti-science. 20 years ago it seemed to me it was more of a left-wing thing. And here it is again.

These are the people who think we should use 10 or 20 times the land mass per person for farming, since GM food is scary to them. In fact, they might as well be Amish for where it is they want to go. Really, we can feed the world’s population without problem if it wasn’t for mismanagement of the resources.

The bigger problem is Climate Change. If this doesn’t get taken care of nothing else will matter.

The cool thing about Climate change is that it will probably force us to learn how to Terra-form the planet. So, IMO, there is a silver lining to this. Then we take that tech elsewhere…. Still, the 2nd part of that is probably not in our lifetimes.
