In all honesty, Apple is not the company that is ever going to give you longevity and continued support. When I buy an Apple product, it is done so knowing that I will likely only receive support for the duration of the warranty period and I should not expect software updates to work on the hardware past that date.

Sadly, Apple isn’t the only one. But damn it, At least Microsoft gives you prior notice when they are going to cut off support.

Apple? Not so much.
