There’s a shitload of things they should be doing to prevent such harassment, but they won’t do it because if they did they’d lose the bulk of their users.

Sometimes I despair, because we’re fighting an asymmetrical war. The asymmetry is that they have no shame, no limits. They’re not tied to reality or honesty in any way. And they’re totally willing to do things we wouldn’t.

An effective response to someone doxxing someone else might be to not only doxx them, but actually show up at THEIR home, in significant numbers. Call THEIR home phones. Send THEM pictures of their homes.

But we and they know we won’t do that, and any of us who did would be castigated for it.
