a) He asked for the investigation, which puts people under oath (including him)
b) The accusers cited by Yahoo against Franken are anonymous; the accusers cited by the Washington Post against Roy Moore are on record and public, and their stories have been confirmed by other sources.

Unfortunately, I won’t be surprised if more public allegations are forthcoming. If Franken is aware that he has be grabbing women’s butts regularly at these kinds of events, he really should resign.
