It wouldn’t even be a redux of Anita Hill. With Hill, there was an FBI investigation, 3 days of hearings, 22 witnesses, and the GOP at least tried to pretend that they gave a damn.

Here? No FBI investigation, 2 witnesses, and the GOP are already saying they’re doing this shit just to humor the rubes because they’ve already decided to confirm Kavanaugh despite what Prof. Ford says.

The Democrats were in charge of the Senate — so of course there was a more thorough investigation. If you had to rely on the GOP back then, my guess is that they wouldn’t have cared and we never would have heard of Anita Hill.
