Ah but I wasn’t talking about your state in specific here and as you get more and more rural in these states, you get less and less diverse and weirdly fearful about the newcomers even though you’re less likely to encoutner them.

As seen in obituaries here. You read an obituary of a person and you are almost guaranteed to read “lifelong resident of” whatever county.

For example, the Sidney, Nebr. Sun-Telegraph page today, almost every person listed is a lifelong resident of Cheyenne County.
