Nixon was smarter than Trump but Trump has more people willing to shill to save his ass.

I wonder how much of that is the difference between being a first term president vs a second term president.

Nixon was never running for office again after 1972. But Congressional GOPers are faced with a situation where they know they’re going to have to face re-election at the same time as Trump in 2020.
