Last night I woke up around 5 a.m. and listened to public radio for half an hour or so. Someone was saying that based on somewhat limited information, after the 1918-19 flu epidemic the cities that had been more shut down during the epidemic rebounded faster economically than did the ones who kept up more economic activity during that time.

The reason I mention that this was me listening at 5 a.m. is that I can’t possibly provide you with any sort of source for this info. as I was lulling myself back to sleep with the “white noise” of talking.
