This is a good point. I could see Moscow Mitch giving permission to “I’m very, very concerned” Collins and Gutless Gardner to vacillate on what they’d do in a desperate attempt to appear “moderate.” Then, if Dems win the Senate, ram through Beer-Keg Brett 2.0 during the lame-duck session.

And if they lose, there’s even better reason to do the same thing.
