McConnell was blowing up the system once the Senate Democrats lost their filibuster-proof majority in early 2010 — so for almost 11 years. He obstructed everything possible while in the minority; he became the Majority Leader in 2014, giving him 6 years in the position. He is a monster, who, unlike Trump, is knowledgeable about the law and will do anything possible to win — including changing the rules when they benefit him.
