I’m tellin ya — the Republicans are more terrified of the infrastructure bill than anything else. Their entire motto for years has been “We can’t do anything big anymore,” and the mistake people have made is thinking they think it’s a bad thing. They want us to be essentially a nursing home where we sit around complaining about Colin Kaepernick and wonder whether The Great Men of 1950 and 1850 and 1750 would approve of us. The idea of Americans coming together and doing something big is their kryptonite.
