Yeah. It’s kind of a casual slur on Jews. The sort of thing you can get away with if you have a Jewish friend who thinks it’s funny. Sometimes you just hear ‘bagel’.

I’ve heard it in the States, but a quick research trip through the Intertubes suggests it’s most popular in South Africa.
