In Philly there is an Italian place called “Ralph’s” that does calamari in marinara sauce *very* well. Melt in your mouth consistency (not chewy) and delicious. Not breaded either.

I also like getting squid grilled at a Greek/Med place called Dmitri’s. In that case it is often 3-5 whole 4-6” long squid mantles. Tasty. With a nice greek salad on the side and some cooked greens.

That wouldn’t be Rotten Ralph’s, aka Ralph Jr’s at 2nd and Chestnut, would it?
