They live by the motto “If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention.” Thing is they can’t understand that what they see is the product of their own policies, instead believing that everything wrong with America is because of “liberals.”

As I’ve noted before, much of the what constitutes the right wing in the States consists of anger addicts. These people need to hate in the same way a junkie needs to shoot up. The withdrawal otherwise is a hideous experience.

Unfortunately, like all addicts, they need to get bigger hits more often to keep the same level of intoxication. And being that high all the time causes severe mental distortions.

This, to me, explains much of the wingnuts behaviour. They’re addicts and they act like addicts.
