You are strawmanning my argument. My position is that Franken ought to resign, but if he chooses not to, that there be an investigation in which he gets due process and appropriate punishment. I strongly suspect the credible allegations against Franken aren’t going to stop at two; they rarely do.

Serious question: why should Franken resign before the investigation even begins? The investigation he has already requested?
Are we at the point where trial by public opinion is now a fact?

I ask this as a woman who has been subjected sexual abuse, assault, harassment and even rape. So I personally know why women ( and men!) do not come forward with accusations. OTOH, I also believe in justice, and that includes justice for the accused as well.
