I hear tomorrow is a special day where everyone in rich Western countries celebrates spending money and going into debt to impress their neighbour’s kids.

I bought V a pair of winter boots. Might as well be practical if I’m going to spend money.

I gave my wife a sketch we made together at our second wedding anniversary, of our “dream house” fantasy. She didn’t know I’d saved it for 31 years, so it was a big hit. (We might be able to build some parts of the house if Trump doesn’t kill my entire retirement).
Also a sweater.
