Trump would destroy discretionary programs, cutting them by $1.3 trillion. These are things like Section 8, Head Start, WIC, LIHEAP, public housing, NOAA, NIH, NASA, NSF, the CDC - most of the programs that we think of when we think of what the government does.

I wonder if Trump even looked at the budget. This is the GOP budget. This is their ideal — with a trillion dollar deficit so that they can come next for Medicare and Social Security,
