The GOP dilemma, they can’t do what’s necessary to help end the pandemic because that would piss off their rabid base, but many can’t win elections with just their rabid bases’ votes. Anything that legitimizes the dangers of the pandemic will sent their wack-a-loon base off the deep end. Efforts to appeal to sane Americans are transparent and laughable.
