I can’t help but think about that ep. too. But it’s important to note that the episode ended on a less than triumphant note: Picard admitted that the torture not only had him at the point where he was ready to say there were five lights, but he actually convinced himself there were five lights before he was rescued.

This kind of gaslighting has to be fought upfront and repeatedly, because if it’s left run without a check, it’ll work.

Yeah, the snowflake deplorables are losing their shit because Madonna and Ashley Judd were not politically correct.

I still find myself wondering how ‘snowflake’ became one of the go-to dismissive diminutives by the right, considering how often they declare their ‘rugged individualism’.
