um… there hasn’t been a draft in more than 40 years. And IIRC, the Senate did pass a bill in 2016, with Obama and his SecDef’s encouragement, that would have women register with the selective service just like men do. It was the House, a Republican-controlled House, that stripped that requirement.

I hope I’m not being the one chastised here. I’d forgotten we actually got a bill that close, but I was pretty sure most of our side was already insisting on what Mr. Republican Whataboutist was calling for us to support.
