Rubber Soul was my older sister’s last Beatle Album, she was full into Beatlemania but stopped liking them when they went long-haired and psychedelic.

I pretty much lost track of them at that point (I was six or seven) and did not pick up on them again until they had already broken up, then I discovered Revolver and Sergeant Pepper and my young teen mind was blown…

I was still buying a lot of Beatles 45s but not the albums. “Run For Your Life” on Rubber Soul put me off when Lennon sang that he’d rather see his ‘little girl’ dead. I got back on bigly when Sgt. Pepper came out, but never bought a copy of the white album until the 80’s. Bought Abbey Road right away. Loved it then, still love it now.

I did go see The Monkees live in 1967. Barely heard them through the endless screaming.
