The wingnuts made a big deal out of the Obama’s wealth last time too and his big house on a double lot in Chicago. It is a curiosity why we always elect rich people but it’s not really an important issue for me.

Even though you technically don’t need a lot of money to run for office, the fact is that if you want to be President, you’d better have money. LOTS of money. The White House is simply an unobtainable goal for someone who is not worth multiple millions.
