I definitely think the super speedy onslaught of so much damage is a feature of this, but tearing down is also the only thing they are good at. The other stuff - building up, governing, creating, objective analysis, collaborative action - is hard. These people are mediocre frauds and they know it.
It’s not only hard, but if they succeed in tearing down, it can take years and a huge financial investment to rebuild and recover from the damage that was done in a few days or less. Lost institutional memory often cannot be restored. You have to start from scratch.
