I would have no problem voting for Preet Bharara (or Hillary) as my state’s NY AG.

Yes, either one would have to recuse themselves personally from overseeing investigations regarding Trump. But that doesn’t mean the office of the AG wouldn’t still conduct an investigation. It would simply be headed by a deputy AG without that conflict of interest. That’s how functioning government works, when it’s functioning. Which it still is here in my state.
