Politicians would love it if everything they said and did came with an expiration date. Before the Internet era, they could have buried stuff like that, but now that the Internet is all-remembering, it’s tougher and tougher to get away with trying to revise history like that.

It has become all the easier to be a flip-flopper or beholden to pretzel logic to support a current position that is at odds with something said just a short time earlier.
