Oh yeah. They pretty much followed the RNC bullshit about rebranding.

None of these imbeciles have gotten it into their heads that it’s not the messaging that’s the problem. It’s the message. It’s the fact that all this retrograde social conservative shit doesn’t square with the real life experiences of most people so the party focus on it turns people off.

Let’s say for a moment that I happened to agree with right-wing fiscal policy. I don’t, but let’s pretend for a moment.

I would still have to weight their fiscal policy against the idea that they believe some of my friends don’t deserve the same rights as everyone else. That they think their “small gub’mint” should have a say in what plants I can and can’t smoke, and what time of the day on certain days of the week I can purchase alcohol. That men should have the legal right to dictate to women what they can and can’t do with their bodies. That it’s okay for me to have sex with a random stranger for no established reason at all, but as soon as I give them money for it it becomes a crime.

These and so many other things. The people in that party that have strong economic beliefs sabotage themselves every day that they remain aligned with stone-age social reactionaries.
