I already pay a 6% state sales tax, a 7% county tax on insurance, and (depending on where I shop) an additional local sales tax, all completely separate from my state and federal incomes taxes (oh, and let us not forget those municipalities that also assess an income/payroll tax).
The state and local entities sure as hell aren’t going to give up that revenue in lieu of a 20% “fair flat tax”.
