A new Monmouth University poll of West Virginia’s 3rd District found Democrat Richard Ojeda with the advantage in the race to replace Republican Rep.Evan Jenkins, who lost a Senate primary.

Ojeda, a state senator and veteran, has 43 percent support to Republican Carol Miller’s 41 percent among “all potential voters” (voters who have participated in an election since 2010 or are newly registered). The Democrat has a wider lead in two likely voter models. Ojeda leads Miller, the state House majority whip, 47 percent to 41 percent using a “historical midterm turnout” model and 48 percent to 39 percent in a “Democratic surge” model.

And then the next paragraph!
Ojeda, who has said he voted for Trump in 2016, has a slight lead in favorability with a third of voters viewing him positively, while 27 percent view Miller favorably. But neither candidate is known to about half the electorate.
