You’re right. Neither Ellsberg nor the Navy sailors in 1778 should have been allowed to decide if they could leak it. But, since the information is important, I hope the jurors take that into account.

Ellsberg did it well. The jurors should decide what happened. Let the sentencing judge, if she’s convicted, credit her motives.
