The problem was that we had 60 D senators for only about 4? months and one of those was Lieberman; that limited what we could pass for the good of the country since McConnell insisted on blocking anything Obama proposed. I wonder if McConnell was working for the Russians even back then.

Part of the reason that was such a short time period is that Norm Coleman and the republican party kept demanding recount after recount of the election that Al Franken had won.
