alcohol and tobacco (and marijuana where legalized) are major tax revenue streams, cannot let them be interrupted

On marijuana, here in California, there’s some talk that it’s a bit too highly taxed and/or that the system is too regulated (thus keeping people out of the legalized system) and actually helping the black market.
