Hopefully - but Czechs can be a stubbornly and quietly nationalistic bunch. And I mean good old-fashioned xenophobic ethno-nationalism. It’s deeply ingrained in their cultural identity and it’s going to take a long, long time to extirpate it.

Goes back to ‘38 and ‘68 from what I understand. I’m thankful that Slovakia’s President is a liberal. My family in the SR are Slovak nationals but not ethnically so when President Caputova speaks in Rusyn, it’s like when Spanish is spoken here.
