Beck got caught showing his idiocy when he made the statement that McCain is bad because he’s some kind of “weird progressive” like Theodore Roosevelt. John McCain has publicly announced that TR is his hero for years. I really would have believed even Glenn Beck would know that, seeing as how he is some kind of self-proclaimed political expert and all.

I guess he realized what an ass he’d made of himself on CBS and can’t figure out how to handle it.

He does know that TR is hero to McCain. He also knows that TR was a Progressive and doesn’t care for TR as a result of that position. His comment re McCain is that given the effectiveness of getting legislation passed, McCain loves to cross the aisle and would find a way of giving a Republican spin to many far left agendas in proposed legislation that would become law.

You have to know that McCain would give cover to a lot of the more liberal Republicans as former Pres. Bush did. One of the big fears is that McCain and his gang of 7 Repubs would make a health care proposal that would attemtp to reconcile both sides resulting in some form of legislation being passed with Repub. support…which is what the left wants. They can pass it without a single Rep. They want cover. And often, people like McCain who want to appear to be uniters, give cover…Campaign Finance is an example.

McCain is not a pure Conservative. And that is the point he was attempting to make. Because of that, it is better to have Obama who actually polarizes people so that less legislation can get passed. Makes sense if you don’t like a leftist agenda at all.
