I grew up 8 miles from Gettysburg. The whole place was lousy with Lincoln stuff - there was the room in what had been a hotel then (but was now a Rexall drug store) where he stayed, there was the Lincoln Train Museum (complete with a little room like a rail car that rocked gently as a film played), and probably lots of other stuff I’ve forgotten. In 6th grade, all the boys had to memorize the “Gettysburg Address”, and the best reciter would recite it at the Memorial Day ceremony in the local cemetery (the girls all memorized “Flanders Fields”).

I think it’s the best speech ever given by an American president personally. Flanders Fields is a beautiful poem too. Was there this summer.
