That’s really naive. He was Vice President for eight years and in Congress sixteen years before that. He wanted to use his name and influence for good. He shouldn’t have to operate in fear of an important issue like that being twisted for bad. If he had made childhood poverty an issue, they would have freaked out about that too. You’re asking the man to not have used his name and influence for good and I think that’s unfair.
