Interestingly, a lot of it is coming from folks whom I would not identify as racist, who even support BLM, or at least the IDEA of BLM. Something about black athletes who are highly paid, that they should shut up because society has been good to them, rather than seeing it as “I’ve reached a position of prominence, where if I protest, people might pay attention.”

Really shows how deep the racism in society runs. We feel like if we pay people enough, they give up their right to an opinion that isn’t “Gosh, everything is just so GREAT!!!”
