At this point, the Trumpers who are left have no excuses. Any adult who is not cognitively impaired makes choices on whether or not to expend the effort to figure something out.

Nope. Get Anymouse to tell you about what news sources are available in his neck of the woods. And in much of the country people have never had the kind of education that would hone their judgement. In that kind of milieu, it takes a lot of effort not to succumb. (Or consider the frog being slowly heated in a pot of water.)
