I didn’t even know Bloomberg had a daughter. He’s said to be possibly be running in 2020. I hope not. He’s not a bad person or anything like that but he’s not the direction the left needs to go in and neitehr is Bernie for that matter. We need someone who gets not only what it’s like to be less well off in America but someone who gets what it’s like to not to be the majority IMO.

Georgina Bloomberg and Jessica Springsteen are champion show-jumpers (or maybe I should say… riders of champion horses). It’s a super-expensive sport, and somewhat unfair that the riders (who also put up the money) get all the credit when it’s really the trainers and horses whose talents deserve the acclaim, but so it goes.

Part of what makes it so expensive (besides that just buying the horse in the first place is six figures minimum, some of the yearlings from champion lineage go for seven figures at auction) — is that the horse needs 5 or 6 years of training before they can even qualify for their first competition. They need a lot of space, the rider has to spend 5 or 6 hours every day with the animal so people who need to earn a living will never be able to do it, and that saying “don’t look a gift horse in the mouth”? They eat a LOT. And none of it’s budget-price.
