With four daughters aged 10-19 in the house I am fed a steady diet of that drivel, along with all of the “kiddie soaps”.

I like to sit there and tell them what’s going to happen next with which character, which is not hard given the transparent cliches that serve as plots.

This really, really pisses them off while at the same time amusing them.

I do that to friends of mine with more complex movies/shows. And when I get it right (which is about 3/4 of the time) it pisses them off.

When you read a lot and watch classic films you’ve seen a lot of the plot twists and standards expected of the genre. So you just have to watch for the clues that seem to be required in the script.
