My personal favorite bit of high school assholishness makes it bad to be smart. At SCHOOL. Seriously?

What is often missed in talking about “gay bashing” at school is that many of the kids being harassed and bullied are only perceived as being gay. My son has suffered tons of shit related to this. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to change until adults begin figuring out that being a man isn’t being a dick to everyone and teaching their kids that none of this is ok.
