Good news this morning as 203,000 jobs were added in November and the unemployment rate dropped to 7% even as the labor forced increased. The alternative unemployment rate which includes underemployed and discouraged workers also dropped sharply from 13.8% to 13.2%, and all this happened due to private sector job creation, as federal government employment dropped by another 7,000, and has dropped 92,000 over the last twelve months. Employment has grown by more than 200,000 jobs in three of the last four months, and averaged 195,000 per month this year, despite federal government austerity, even while the inflation rate has remained extremely low.
