Sounds like police academies and departments need to do a lot more in terms of teaching and then reinforcing ethics. Along with repeatedly pointing out that falsifying evidence *once* can lead to all your previous police work being questioned and a lot of cases being thrown out or appealed.
(And if you’re not in the field out of a sense of serving justice and the community you should be weeded out of the program then and there.)
All good intentions.
But we are talking about a cop that carries around a bag of crack.
It’s way beyond teaching him some ethics. He and many others like him are beyond rehabilitation.
