Still think that there should be permanent homes for the Games - Athens for Summer and Switzerland for the Winter.

No need to send them all over the planet building venues that will fall into disuse the moment the games depart. We see it happen after every Games.

Spending billions on one-shots that will disappear the moment the Games end. It does little to boost the economy either.

I get tying Games bids to building new infrastructure (railroads, light rail, airport improvements, etc.) but those should be done without the need for a Games to push them through.
