As for ancestry - given the number of our ancestors double every generation back, anyone who lived 6000 years ago and has descendants alive today, also will be the ancestor of everyone else who lives today. Even with severe pedigree collapse, the number of our genealogical (not DNA) ancestors overtake the population of the Earth more than a couple of thousand years ago.

So you and I may not have inherited any DNA from this “Adam” and “Eve”, but they would still be in our pedigree.
