When I moved to CA, I liked Taco Bell. Then I found a couple real taquerias, and now TB would have to be literally the only place open when I was fainting of hunger for me to go there.

BUT, I do have a story about going to one back in the 80s. They’d just released their “Steak Fajita Burrito”, and I dropped by and bought at least one. While I was eating, the guy who’d been behind me in line, and had ordered the same thing, went back to the counter and loudly protested that what he’d received looked nothing like the beautiful, professionally photographed image on the sign.

The counter guy really didn’t know what to say. Neither did the manager. I mean, what did the guy expect for $2.99 at Taco Bell?

Yeah, food photography includes tricks like using motor oil for gravy, vaseline on juicy burgers, and shaving cream for whipped cream.
