The modern GOP/Tea Party would puke out Nixon, Reagan, and both of the Bush’s for being too liberal. They only tolerate Mitt now because they have no other choice. I can’t recall either party hating their nominee any worse than the GOP/Tea Party hates on Mitt.

Absolutely, and notice how Republican politicians don’t even talk about either of the President Bushes…partly because in retrospect they don’t pass the new farther right conservative purity tests.
