The relationship between the press and the government is SUPPOSED TO BE adversarial. Press conferences are SUPPOSED TO BE tough. Questions unanswered, or answered with bullshit are SUPPOSED TO BE followed up, till the question IS answered. The press is SUPPOSED TO dig into the corners officials don’t want them to.

Fuck courtesy. If you want a COURTEOUS press, you want a COMPLIANT press.
